Annual egg hunts began Friday, March 29, when the First Church of God hosted its annual egg hunt after dark. In a unique, exciting twist, hunters searched for eggs in the evening and darkened conditions. The smallest hunters began at 7:30 p.m. with older hunters seeking the glow in the dark eggs later. The church offered hot dogs, candy, games, and more for attendees.

Holiday fun began early the following morning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 30, as children aged 1 to 10 participated in Bristow’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt at the city park. Children hunted eggs by age group, and each egg held a holiday surprise for the excited youngsters. Some participants noted that the Easter Bunny also made a guest appearance.

Following the city hunt, C & J Kountry Fixins held its third annual Easter egg hunt on its large lawn area at 36921 West Highway 66. The hunts began at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, and children up to age 12 were allowed to participate. As with the hunts at First Church of God and at the park, hunters were sorted into groups by age. Families were also treated to a visit by the Easter Bunny, a large bounce house, and live music performed by band A Little Farther West, according to C & J’s Facebook page.
