Edward Lee Reed, 75, of Bristow, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2024 at Stillwater Creek Nursing facility surrounded by his family and loved ones.

Edward grew up in Bristow a town he loved and never left. He graduated Salutatorian at Bristow High School and furthered his education at Oklahoma State University, where he graduated, the first in his family to attend or graduate from college. He was huge supporter of Bristow sports and served as President of the Bristow Quarterback Club. Ed was also very passionate about his OSU Cowboys, and was a decades long multi-sport season ticket holder and donor to the University. Ed loved to fish as well, and he spent many weekends on the lake and entered many fishing tournaments. Mr. Reed was also a member of the Muscogee Creek Nation Tribe and worked as an electrical engineer and pipeline heavy equipment operator for the company HLH for many years. Edward will be dearly missed and always remembered.

Edward Reed was preceded in death by his father Karel Reed and mother Mary Edna Blackston Reed.

Edward is survived by his children Yvonne and Scott Stuart, Ronald and Jenny Reed, and Sharla Reed. Many grandchildren Jamie, Jay, Chase, Shalyn, Calista, and Denton; great grandchildren James Daniel and Emma Skye. The family has decided upon a celebration of life to be held in Mr. Reed’s honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. Details are pending
