Nola was born in Tahlequah, on Oct. 21, 1944, to the late Clive Sanders and Faye (Stover) Sanders. She passed from this life at her residence in Depew on April 7, 2024 at the age of 79 years, five months, and 17 days. Nola was raised and educated in Tahlequah and Depew. She married Jeral Dean Rains in Shawnee, on Aug. 20, 1963 and they remained together until his death in 2012. Nola enjoyed reading her Bible, going to church, singing, and spending time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy Sanders and two sisters, Lillie Stoddard and Loretta Sanders.
She is survived by her children: Loretta Cooper and spouse Mike; Larry Rains and spouse Teryl; George Rains and spouse Mary; extended children: Alicia Copeland and Kimberly Hale; grandchildren, Drew and Haley, Gabe and Fryka, Aaron, Thomas and Nikki, Heather, Noah, Josh, Austin, Hillary, Diamond, Haley, Jacob, Kevin; great grandchildren, Ashton, Kelton, Kepler, Savannah; plus numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
